Ladies and gentlemen, today our topic is 2010 Lexus RX350, which is a latest car right for us. You guys are looking for cool new car for this year, right? Listen, this could be a good choice. Let’s find out why this car is wonderful.
The Lexus RX was one of the first sedan-based, luxury utility vehicles, and it remains one of the best. This crossover is impressively smooth, comfortable, responsive in all driving situations and flexible when it comes to hauling people or cargo.
The RX 350 is powered by a 275-hp 3.5-liter V6 with a six-speed automatic transmission delivering performance, and fuel efficiency. It is available with a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. Standard features include automatic climate control, push-button start with smart keyless entry, automatic headlamps, 18-inch aluminum wheels, ten airbags, active front head restraints and leather trim on the steering wheel and shift knob.
The RX is the best selling Lexus model of all time. Clearly, understandably, the folks in Toyota City didn’t want to stray too far from a successful formula. (From baby Benz to proscription Benzos). Though appropriately soporific, the 2010 RX350 is not an improvement on gen 2, which had one or two good angles. The best I can say about the new RX’s exterior: the front looks slightly less goofy. The new exterior color choices are, however, goofier than Donald D.’s standing canine companion. I haven’t seen a color like “Golden Almond Metallic” since I last changed my daughter’s diapers.
The RX 350’s driving experience is somewhat improved, mostly attributable to the addition of a few hundred pounds of needed ballast. The old RX always felt too light and uncontrolled. The 2010 model feels more buttoned down and even a bit Germanic. The optional sport package may prove as transformational as it is on the LS, or it may not. Meanwhile, I sampled an RX 350 with the nineteen inch wheels. They ruined the ride quality without a concomitant contribution to the driving fun quotient.
Sized at the larger end of the two-row crossover class, the 2010 Lexus RX 350 shares the familiar shape that spawned this entire class of vehicles back in the late 1990s. In this edition, it’s lost some of its better details but is instantly recognizable as a Lexus first, an RX second, and a soft-hearted sport-ute third. The fastback may be growing ever more AMC Eagle-like, but the tall roofline and handsome proportions are still in evidence, as is a bit more sculpturing to fit with the latest Lexus theme of “L-finesse.” Inside, the Lexus RX 350 has given up a touch of its refinement, though, with a newly styled interior that divides driver controls visually from the passenger zone—leaving a large swath of silver-painted plastic and a less sophisticated look in the place of the subdued, woody library feel of the last RX generation.
When driven back-to-back against the previous model, it’s clear the new 2010 RX offers more than cosmetic improvements. Mechanical improvements for the all-new Lexus RX include an independent rear suspension, a 10-airbag safety system, a six-speed sequential transmission, and an improved all-wheel-drive system. Upgraded accommodations include better seats, integrated satellite radio, acoustic glass, automatic high beam control, and a heads-up display among other things. Many of the improvements are due to more and better computer logic for integrated control of driving systems such as the transmission, all-wheel-drive, navigation, steering and brakes.
The crossover also features a new, uniquely designed double-wishbone rear suspension that helps provide exceptional agility and control. Its distinctive design also allows for five percent more cargo volume and easier loading. To complement the new rear suspension and provide excellent dexterity and ride comfort, the front McPherson strut geometry was optimized.
The new RX is available with a selection of option packages, which include features like a Mark Levinson Surround Sound system, a dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system, dynamic radar cruise control, and a Sports Package featuring a sport-tuned suspension.
